Crafting

Friday night I risked being exposed to the swine flu and spent the evening with the Miller's. I dropped off dinner for Clint and Lisa since Clint has been sick this week and ended up spending the evening hanging out with Jack a little, and eating dinner, and sewing well into the evening with Lisa. It was really fun to just get to sit and talk and work on a project for a while. It's been a while since we had done that. It was also wonderful to be able to spread out and not worry about having a mess. With our house being on the market I can't ever get out all of my sewing stuff and leave it out for any amount of time. We worked on a little color book for Jack. Our "crazy quilt" squares turned out super cute, if I do say so myself. Here's another wonderful iPhone picture of our creation.

Spending time sewing made me quite certain I want to hand make a lot of my gifts this year for Christmas. I'm not sure when or how I'll do it with the current house situation, but I have some ideas brewing after last night that I am really excited about!

Too adorable!! Way to bust out the sewing skills - always easier when you can leave things strewn about.
