In the last week or so, ducks have showed up in our pool in the mornings. The first day I was walking to my car & saw them in the lap pool I was so confused. I wasn't quite sure they were ducks even - I mean, ducks don't live in pools, they live in ponds. Then, they kept showing up, and they definitely make some noise in the mornings. Poor Julia can hear it from her room!
As for life other than the ducks, things have been good. This weekend was such a great, relaxing weekend. Friday night a group was celebrating Jessica's birthday by going country dancing. Stephanie & I decided to meet for dinner before. I haven't just sat and talked with Steph in so long and it was so refreshing to catch up with my friend! Then we headed over to Cowboys Red River to meet up with Jess. The dancing sure looked like a lot of fun, but there were way more girls than boys and I didn't end up dancing the whole night. It was some great, quality time with Steph though, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
Saturday was my massive cleaning day. My room and my bathroom were a complete disaster, so I spent the majority of the day cleaning. In the afternoon I went to pilates with Amy - which I'm getting better at - slowly but surely.
Sunday was church, which was so good. Our evangelism pastor spoke, and I was so struck by the fact that I really need to be engaging with the lost people that are all around me! That afternoon I had a baby shower to go to - I don't feel old enough to have friends with babies!
This week has started off great - I got to have coffee with Michelle Monday night and dinner with my sweet friend Lindsey last night. Tonight I have small group and we are talking about sex. Shouldn't that be interesting....haha!

D-Town
This weekend we had Watermark's version of Disciple Now. Needless to say a 2 night slumber party with 7th grade girls has left me a little tired and my room a mess for lack of a weekend to clean it and do laundry! Despite all of that, it was truly a great weekend. I can't even tell you how great it was to have conversations with my girls and just hear how they are growing up. They are so different than just a year and a half ago when I started hanging out with them! I'm so excited to see how they continue to grow in the next 5 years or so that I get to spend with them.
We also had a lot of fun this weekend. We went on a crazy scavenger hunt all over Dallas. We managed to make the people at Abercrombie not very happy because we asked them to turn the music down several times in a row, sample every lotion in Bath & Body works, and buy a gift from a wedding registry from Bed, Bath & Beyond and mail it to the couple. It was quite an experience. We had plenty of hang out time at the houses where we talked and watched movies. It was great!
I would post pictures, but I don't have any because my camera is still out of comission because I haven't had a chance to take it to Best Buy.

Nashville Here I Come!
Yesterday I booked a plane ticket to go to Nashville. I'm so unbelievably excited to visit my friends Natalie & Emily. Emily moved back to Nashville after graduation and Natalie just moved there this summer. I couldn't be looking forward to my first trip to Nashville any more!!!
Other than that, life is pretty much just moving on as usual. As I type this, there are giant, beautiful snow flakes falling from the sky. Unfortunately it's not cold enough outside for anything to stick. I'm working on planning a ski trip with my sister for the end of March - maybe then I'll get to see some real snow. Until then, I'll enjoy the snow flakes!
