Wedding Festivities, the final chapter

Wedding Day! Saturday was a jam-packed fun-filled day.  It started with hair fixing, and a make up appointment for Laura, then on to the house where we were getting ready and taking the first pictures.  We took all our girl pictures, and then went across the street to Spencer's parent's house so Laura and Spencer could have their first look.  Then we took some really fun wedding party pictures - her photographer was amazing.  Then we headed to the church, hung out in the bride's room and then married them off.

One of my favorite moments was a little exchange between Laura and Spencer when we all walked out of the chapel: L: Holy crap, we're married! S: Can I get a gift receipt for this?  maybe you just had to be there, but I thought it was hilarious.

After a few pictures, we headed back to Spencer's parent's house for the reception.  His mom's garden was gorgeous, and they had done a great job setting things up, but it was most definitely a sweltering day.

Such a fun wedding for two dear friends.  I couldn't be more happy that the two of you are married and that God brought you together!  Love you guys!

Wedding Festivities, part 3

Rehearsal & Dinner.  After our quick run to Northpark, we made our way to the Watermark chapel for the rehearsal.  It was my first time to be in there, and it is gorgeous with the stone and the dark wood pews.  I love it!  We rehearsed and then headed to the rehearsal dinner at Highland Park Pharmacy. I never would have thought about having an event there, but the atmosphere was really fun and relaxed, and so perfectly Spencer & Laura, especially considering they go there pretty much every Saturday for lunch.  It was a  really fun night getting ready for the wedding day!

Some sort of Williams family tradition...I'm still not sure what was happening here.

Wedding Festivities, part 2

Friday morning before the wedding.  We started off Friday with with a bridesmaids brunch for Laura at Royal Oaks Country Club.  It was delicious and fun.  From there we headed to the spa at Hotel Palomar for manicures and pedicures.  I don't think I've ever had someone spend so long on my hands and feet, but it was fun.  After the spa we made a quick stop at Northpark before the rehearsal for jewelry for Kristie for the wedding and a snack because brunch had worn off.

Wedding Festivities, part 1

The lingerie shower. A couple of weeks before Laura & Spencer's wedding, we threw Laura a lingerie shower at my house.  I knew it was destined to be fun and Laura was guaranteed to provide some genuine entertainment with her awkwardness.  And don't worry, she did not disappoint.  While I'll mostly spare you pictures of actual lingerie (I know, no one wants to see that, and you're welcome), there is one I couldn't resist.

We ate dinner, watched Laura open gifts, played a couple of games, and just enjoyed hanging out with the girls.

I had far too much fun making these cookies with lots of help from my friend Erin while she was in town.

Decorations = paper cut out panties and verses from Song of Solomon.

Me & the bride. A little too close up, but I still really like it.

I couldn't help myself...the card was just too perfect.
